This cultivar is an outstanding breeder for the deeply fissured sculpting characteristically now seen in daylilies. SONG OF THE EMPIRE has strong sturdy erect scapes with 4 to 6 way branching and 45 or more buds per scape. The substance is very heavy as is characteristic with many of the deeply sculpted cultivars. Very fertile both ways. SONG OF THE EMPIRE is consistently and deeply sculpted on every bloom. Highly recommended.
