L. henryi citrinum, YELLOW HENRY

Bright Lemon yellow to butter yellow, recurved or flared, spotted, downfacing blooms on strong stems that may reach 5-6 feet tall. This is MY own seedling strain and some variablility will occur between bulbs, some have darker centers, some are darker yellow, some are more recurved etc. Easy and vigorous, drought tolerant, need good drainage.

Henryi and it's variants are not fragrant, yet they are very attractive to hummingbirds, butterflies and moths, they seem to be a favorite of the night feeding Sphinx moth. Sphinx moths are almost as large as hummingbirds and resemble them in flight and form.

USDA Zones 4-8, colder climates w/winter mulch

GERMINATION INSTRUCTIONS ARE INCLUDED WITH THE SEEDS

NEARLY ALL OF THE DAVE'S GARDEN FEEDBACK WAS FOR LILIUM, BUT I HAD FAR MORE INVESTED IN NATIVE PLANTS AND BULBS, ALL OF WHICH ARE NOW EXTINCT DUE TO THE ANTI-FARMING ATTITUDE IN OREGON.
